PROJECT: | Translation and Simultaneous Interpreting Laboratory |
In 2017, Soroll installed its Labtra® teaching software suite and Bosch translation equipment in the Translation and Simultaneous Interpreting Laboratory at the Faculty of Languages at the Complutense University of Madrid (Room B08 of Building B), after the project had been awarded to Roycan Audiosistemas.
The equipment supplied by Soroll consists of a lecturer’s desk, nine double booths (one of them with access for students with reduced mobility) for eighteen student interpreters with computers and a control system adapted to teaching, twenty-two desks for listeners/speakers, an announcement system, and audiovisual equipment with IP camera. The entire system is adapted to teaching with Labtra® software, created and developed by Soroll.
This new Translation and Interpreting Lab, along with the one installed in 2015 in Classroom B34 of the same building, means that the Faculty of Languages is perfectly equipped to teach undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Translation and Interpreting.
