Sagunto Hospital configures its new fire system with Soroll Electrònic

After the hospital’s expansion works, the Sagunto Hospital’s management entrusted Soroll Electrònic with the configuration and parameterisation of the new Bosch fire system.

In 2014 a first phase of the configuration and parameterisation of the new mapping system of the Sagunto Hospital was carried out. This month, after the extension works of the hospital, Soroll Electrònic has continued with the second phase where the whole system, already started years ago, has been completed and unified. An additional fire control panel has been installed and the new system has been configured and adapted.

What did the first phase consist of?

In 2014, through a public tender, Soroll Electrònic installed a fire control system consisting of a Bosch analogue addressable control panel with 8 modules, capable of addressing 256 elements per loop. Optical and thermal detectors were installed to protect the hospital against any outbreak of fire.

Improvements were made to the project by implementing the realisation of an integration system with security control. In addition, the hospital’s planimetry was designed and installed on a computer in the security centre. This identifies the exact position of the detectors, push buttons and sirens installed throughout the hospital.

When a fire alarm occurs, the alarm siren is triggered in the security control before any other corridor of the hospital to check the alarm’s veracity. The plan with the exact location of the detector or button that triggered the alarm appears on the computer screen, it is displayed on the computer plan and the position of the trigger is notified by text message to the previously programmed mobile phones. All this is carried out following the hospital’s evacuation plan.

What does the CCTV system consist of?

In 2014, 12 high-resolution IP CCTV cameras were already installed to control access to the hospital.

In addition, a 30-channel Bosch IP recorder enables motion-detection recording of what is happening at the entrances for people and goods.
