Town Council of Burjassot
|CUSTOMER:||Ajuntament de Burjassot|
|PROJECT:||Conference and debate system in the plenary room|
The town council of Burjassot took advantage of not holding face-to-face plenary sessions to fully renew the room’s AV system. The new audio and video system improves the course of plenary sessions — both as for councillors’ speeches in the room and as for media direction and plenary session live streaming.
The new system installed by Soroll Electrònic integrates the Dicentis debate and conference equipment from Bosch, the self-developed software Votechrono and additional devices. The setup includes:
- A multimedia unit at the mayor’s seat for speech and voting management
- A PC with a touchscreen at the mayor’s seat to manage speeches and time
- 22 debate units with a voting system at councillors’, secretary’s and comptroller’s seats
- 2 dome cameras with controllable aim and zoom
- A 50″ screen
- A computer for Internet live streaming
The AV system selects a shot of the person who is speaking at each moment, including custom on-screen graphics with their name, office, and political group. These shots, in turn, appear on the screen, which faces the audience and shows as well the speaking time assigned to each councillor according to the rules of plenary sessions.
In addition, councillors can use the debate units available to them to vote digitally on those points of the agenda that require it, voting results being shown on the screen afterwards.
Lastly, everything that happens in the plenary room can be seen from anywhere thanks to live streaming over the Internet, which is managed by the software. The streaming includes, just as the screen in the room, shots and identification of the speakers as well as a view of voting results.
