The Faculty of Translation and Interpreting of the University of Barcelona UAB, in addition to leading the main rankings of faculties that teach the Degree in Translation and Interpreting, undoubtedly has one of the best infrastructures in Europe for the training of future interpreters.

Among these facilities, the three Interpretation Classrooms are particularly noteworthy, a benchmark of modern educational architecture, emblematic spaces that also deserved to have the best technology available for the training of interpreters.
To this end, the UAB has once again relied on Soroll Electronic for its equipment, equipping the three classrooms with state-of-the-art Bosch Dicentis interpretation and debate systems fully integrated with LABTRA® technology, a set of tools designed by teachers and developed specifically by Soroll Electronic for the training of interpreters. The solution implemented makes classroom management, the use of audiovisual content as teaching material and the evaluation of student performance much easier for teachers.

With an impressive total of 53 interpreting booths, all equipped with their corresponding professional consoles, the classrooms also feature LABTRA® multi-channel recording systems. These recording devices use Dante® audio technology and professional ASIO® protocols to simultaneously record all interpreted languages, their sources, and the metadata from the conference system, giving the teacher full control of the recordings and their export to various formats.
At Soroll Electrònic we appreciate the trust placed in our more than 40 years of experience developing and implementing custom audiovisual solutions and specialized educational equipment.
